CHANGELOG (v0.0.9.26):
Hello! In this patch, the gameplay loop has been reworked. Player death is no longer permanent - upon dying, you may now choose to completely restart the game, or to respawn at the beginning of the most recent wave. Choosing to respawn increments a new death counter which displays in your inventory. There are no other drawbacks to respawning - you keep your stats, gear, equips, etc.
Additionally, waves no longer have a 'set' amount of enemies that spawn - rather, now, each wave has a 'kill bounty' - a threshold of slain enemies you must reach before you can proceed to the next wave.
Enemy spawns were reworked - previously, all enemies spawned at the beginning of the wave. Now, enemies will spawn periodically outside of the player's view. Enemies continue spawning until the player has met the kill bounty.
When you achieve the required kills to progress, you may continue killing the remaining lingering monsters, or simply end the wave ASAP.
I think this makes the game more playable and fun. Because of this, I have disabled cheats for this version!
Other minor changes include:
- Clarity on how to use the inventory.
- Some buttons are slightly more descriptive.
- There is now a credits counter at the bottom right which has a visual cue when you gain credits.
